About Us:

Bridges Public Charter School is a free public school open to all District of Columbia residents. Non-residents may apply and attend for a fee.  For the 2025-2026 school year Bridges PCS will have a common application and a single lottery.  The school year 25-26 lottery opens December 16, 2024.

All applicants to attend Bridges for the 2025-2026 school year should apply at  myschooldc.org.  The deadline for applications is March 3, 2025.  Applications received by the school after the lottery deadline will be put on a waiting list without exception.

Missed the lottery deadline? You can still apply by submitting a My School DC Application myschooldc.org to be added to our waitlist. Bridges will offer seats to our waitlist throughout the summer months. For any questions, feel free to contact us at enrollment@bridgespcs.org or (202) 545-0515.

Application Process Overview

    Important enrollment dates to keep in mind:
    • December 16, 2024: Lottery application opens
    • March 3, 2025: Application deadline PK3-Grade 8
    • March 28, 2025: Lottery results are available
    • April 26, 2025: Enrollment Saturday
    • May 1, 2025: Enrollment deadline for matched students
    Eligibility

    Bridges will be serving students in grades Pre-K3 through 5th grade for the 2025-2026 school year.

    You are eligible to apply if:

    • You reside in the District of Columbia.
    • Your child is eligible to attend grades PK3 to 4th grade.

    ***Children must turn 3 by September 30th of the upcoming school year to enter PK3; must turn 4 by September 30th to enter PK4; must turn 5 by September 30th to enter K. For grades 1 through 5, students must have successfully completed the previous grade.***

    Sibling Preference

    If your Bridges student has a sibling that you want to attend Bridges PCS in the school year 2025-2026, you must complete the My School DC online application (www.myschooldc.org). This is the only way that a sibling can apply and attend the school.  The deadline to apply for siblings entering grades PK3 through 5th grade is March 3, 2025.

    When completing the on-line application for the sibling to receive “sibling preference” in the application process you must indicate on the application that the student is a sibling of a currently enrolled Bridges’ student.  You must also list Bridges PCS as your 1st (first) choice school on the application.   Please note that sibling preference applies to an incoming sibling only if your current Bridges’ student continues to attend Bridges PCS for the 2025-2026 school year.
