Music Education

All students, PreK - 5th grade, receive music education.  Students learn basic music concepts, explore and learn about various instruments, and compose music.  Like visual arts, teachers work together to integrate music into the core curriculum whenever possible.

The Eagles class is using art to express what they learned about “Hall of the Mountain King” by Norwegian composer Edward Grieg. All about a boy named Pier who travels the world, and gets lost in a cave where he finds the Troll King. Pier tries to steal gold from the trolls. They chase him. The music gets faster and faster until the trolls and the king kick him out!
